Long Term Futures is recruiting an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and ambitious primary school in West Bridgford from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident classroom practitioner who enjoys supporting pupils across the primary age range. Working alongside experienced teachers, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning, leading targeted interventions and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents from day one.
About the Role
- Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
- Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy and phonics
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils requiring additional guidance
- Supporting children with SEND and adapting learning activities where appropriate
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement
- Assisting with classroom preparation, resources and learning environments
- Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to teaching staff
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive and nurturing school environment

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent) - essential
- Previous experience working within a primary school
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom practice
- Experience delivering interventions and supporting pupils with a range of abilities
- SEND experience is desirable
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Positive, enthusiastic and committed to a long-term role
