Behaviour Mentor Location: Northfield, Birmingham, B31 Weekly Pay Rate: £500 - £525 Start Date: September 2026 Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Contract: Long Term to PermanentLong Term Futures are recruiting for two dedicated Behaviour Mentors to join a welcoming primary school in Northfield, Birmingham (B31), rated 'Good' by Ofsted, from September 2026. These full-time positions involve supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges and additional learning needs. With an experienced SEN team, supportive leadership and well-established intervention spaces, the school provides an excellent environment for Behaviour Mentors who are passionate about making a difference to children's lives and helping them succeed both academically and socially. The Role Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils across Key Stage 2 Support children with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, behavioural needs and other additional learning needs Deliver interventions focused on emotional regulation, social skills, resilience and positive behaviour Support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom to maximise engagement and learning Assist children with transitions, playtimes, outdoor learning and structured interventions Implement behaviour support plans and therapeutic strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals Build positive and trusting relationships that promote confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, pastoral team and parents to provide consistent support The Ideal Candidate Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience) Experience supporting children with SEMH, Autism, ADHD or behavioural needs Understanding of trauma-informed practice, restorative approaches or PDA strategies Experience working with primary-aged pupils Calm, resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour Strong communication and relationship-building skills Team Teach, Behaviour Management or Mental Health training is highly desirable Why Join Long Term Futures?
