SEND Teaching Assistant | Loughborough (LE11) | Specialist SEMH School | £95 - £115 Per Day | Long-term to Permanent | Start: ASAP We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school (SEMH) provision in Loughborough. This role focuses on supporting learners with mental health needs and special educational needs (SEN), helping them to access education within a supportive and inclusive environment. The school focuses on building positive relationships, promoting emotional regulation, and delivering tailored learning plans to help every pupil achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs Support the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons alongside the class teacher As a teaching assistant you will implement behaviour strategies and support a structured environment with high expectations Help pupils regulate emotions, develop social skills, and engage positively in learning Support personalised learning pathways and access to appropriate accreditation Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environmentWhat We're Looking For A teaching assistant with a genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs Experience working with pupils with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional needs (school, AP, PRU, or similar) Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships A calm, patient, and resilient approach Ability to adapt to challenging situations and remain consistent A proactive team player who can work collaboratively with staff and support servicesWhy Long Term Futures Clear routes to progression within specialist education Inclusive and supportive staff team Free access to mental and physical wellbeing programmes Ongoing training and mentoring Immediate interviews and trial days availableTrial days and interviews are being arranged immediately.
