Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and versatile Science Teacher for a Secondary School located in East Finchley. This full-time position offers a start date as soon as possible or for September 2026, with the school open to both permanent appointments and long-term temporary-to-permanent contracts. We are happy to consider local teachers for in-person delivery as well as remote teachers for virtual positions. Pay for this role will be strictly in line with the national MPS teacher pay scales.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, whether in a physical or virtual classroom.
- Mark student work and provide regular, constructive feedback to support progress.
- Work collaboratively with the Science department to develop and share resources.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic achievement.
Essential Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- A degree specialising in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Proven experience teaching Science at the Secondary level.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- A current and detailed CV.
- Strong communication and digital literacy skills.
