The Opportunity
Long Term Futures are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher with QTS to join a well-regarded secondary school in the Ealing area from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4 (with potential KS5), within a supportive and forward-thinking department. The school places a strong emphasis on literacy, creativity, and academic achievement.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 & KS4
- Prepare students for GCSE English Language and Literature exams
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Support pupils with varying abilities, including SEN where required
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school literacy initiatives
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in English or a related subject
- Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Passion for literacy, reading, and student development
- Commitment to safeguarding and high teaching standards
