Long Term Futures is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Nottingham (NG8). This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school serves students aged 11-16 and prides itself on creating a positive, respectful, and ambitious learning environment where every student is encouraged to succeed.

Starting in September 2025, this role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people, particularly those with additional needs, to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Help maintain student engagement and participation during lessons.
  • Support students' emotional wellbeing and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with behaviour management and encourage a respectful atmosphere.
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and strategies to suit individual needs.

  • Essential: Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in education or a similar setting).
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach, with the ability to adapt to different student needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to engage with students and staff.
