Learning Support Assistant – FE College – Coventry (CV4) – Full-Time – From 95 Per Day
Are you passionate about helping young people with additional needs reach their full potential? We\’re delighted to offer a rewarding opportunity for a committed and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a respected specialist college in Coventry. You\’ll be supporting students aged 16-25 with complex needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, and multiple learning difficulties.
This role is all about creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where students can develop their confidence, independence, and life skills. If you\’re patient, proactive, and ready to make a real difference, we want to hear from you.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to ensure students can fully engage in learning
- Encouraging independence within the classroom and throughout college life
- Supporting engaging, accessible learning activities tailored to each student\’s needs
- Promoting emotional, social, and communication development
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistent care and support
What We\’re Looking For:
- Experience working with young people with SEN is ideal, especially in a post-16 setting – but enthusiasm and willingness to learn are equally valued
- A calm, compassionate approach with strong behaviour management skills
- Great communication and teamwork abilities
- Passion for supporting independence and personal development
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is an advantage but not essential – your attitude and dedication matter most
