A supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Rowley Regis is looking for a confident and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. Whether you've worked in Upper or Lower Key Stage 2, your experience will be valued in this engaging and inclusive school environment.
This role is ideal for someone who's passionate about helping children progress in both learning and confidence during their crucial junior years.
Your role:
- Support the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced KS2 curriculum
- Work with pupils in small groups and 1:1 to support learning and understanding
- Assist with planning and preparing learning resources
- Monitor pupil progress and help create a positive classroom atmosphere
- Encourage independence and support the development of social skills
What we're looking for:
- A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
- At least 1 years' experience in a KS2 classroom is preferred (Upper or Lower KS2)
- A positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills
- Good subject knowledge, particularly in English and maths
- A calm, reliable presence and the ability to build rapport with pupils
