Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Ilford. This full-time role focuses on supporting younger learners across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who require additional assistance to thrive in a mainstream classroom.
You will play a vital role in making education accessible and engaging for children with diverse needs, ensuring they feel supported throughout their primary school journey.
Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to primary-aged pupils with SEN.
- Assist children with autism, ADHD, and social-emotional needs to engage with the primary curriculum.
- Help implement individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within a classroom setting.
- Support the class teacher in managing the learning environment and preparing inclusive resources.
- Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere to help pupils develop social skills and confidence.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the SENCo and teaching staff.
- Experience working with children in a primary school or early years setting.
