Up to £125 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)

Long Term Futures are recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support students within a secondary school setting in Barking and Ilford, working closely with specific year groups as a key point of contact for pupils and classes. This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity for someone confident supporting behaviour, engagement and pastoral needs. You will work with students on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping them manage behaviour, develop positive routines and remain engaged with learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of contact for designated year groups
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour and pastoral support
  • Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement
  • Work closely with pastoral leads, SEN staff and teaching teams
  • Support pupils during lessons, interventions and unstructured times
  • Promote positive behaviour, resilience and inclusion across the school

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting students with behavioural or pastoral needs
  • Confidence working in a secondary school environment
  • A calm, consistent and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
  • Background in youth work, mentoring, SEN or pastoral roles (desirable)
