Your Role: Facilitating Learning and Development

• Delivering planned learning sessions and overseeing classroom activities, providing cover for teacher absences and PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time.
• Initiating and leading targeted academic interventions for small groups or individual pupils, focusing on key areas like literacy, numeracy, or specific learning needs.
• Systematically tracking pupil attainment, offering comprehensive feedback to class teachers, and contributing to ongoing progress assessments.
• Assisting with curriculum preparation, including the creation and adaptation of diverse learning resources to meet varying pupil requirements.
• Championing positive conduct and cultivating an inclusive, stimulating, and well-managed learning space.
• Collaborating seamlessly with teaching staff, the SENCo, and other support colleagues to ensure cohesive educational delivery.

What We Require: Essential Credentials & Attributes

• A valid Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification is non-negotiable.
• A substantial track record of success as an HLTA or a highly experienced Senior Teaching Assistant within a primary school context.
• A proven command of effective classroom management strategies and the confidence to lead learning sessions autonomously.
• Comprehensive understanding of the primary national curriculum and proficiency in adapting teaching approaches.
• The capacity to prepare and deliver engaging educational activities with minimal supervision.
• Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills, essential for all levels of interaction within the school community.
• A current enhanced DBS check, or a readiness to apply for one.
