SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Grantham (NG31) Pay: £100 - £115 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm Start Date: Asap Contract: Long-term to permanent Long Term Futures is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a small specialist SEMH school in the NG31 area. The school supports pupils who have found mainstream education challenging and provides a highly structured, nurturing setting with very small classes and high levels of staff support. Pupils access a blended curriculum that includes academic learning, outdoor activities and therapeutic or wellbeing-focused sessions. The approach is calm, consistent and centred around strong relationships, clear routines and personalised support. What You'll Be Doing Deliver 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs Support emotional regulation, routines and positive behaviour strategies Assist learning across classroom, outdoor and practical activities Build consistent, trusting relationships with pupils Follow individual support plans and contribute to progress tracking Encourage confidence, resilience, independence and engagementWhat We're Looking For Experience supporting children or young people (education, care, youth work, mentoring, coaching or similar) Confidence managing behaviour in a calm, supportive and consistent way Patient, resilient and adaptable approach Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) Applicants from sports coaching or mentoring backgrounds are particularly encouraged to applyWhy Apply Long-term role with a clear route into a permanent position Small setting with strong support and a positive staff culture Training and development in SEMH and behaviour support Trial days available so you can experience the setting before startingTrial Days are being arranged immediately.
