Are you a nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children thrive in their first years of school? A welcoming and diverse primary school in the heart of Smethwick is seeking a confident EYFS TA to join their Reception team this September.
This full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a well-supported Early Years setting, working alongside an experienced class teacher and SEN staff.
Your role:
- Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum
- Help children develop early language, social, and motor skills through play and structured activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where needed
- Prepare resources and assist with daily routines such as phonics, snack time, and outdoor learning
- Create a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels safe and valued
What we're looking for:
- A Level 3 qualification relevant to Early Years education or Supporting Teaching and Learning
- Proven experience working in an EYFS classroom
- A caring, proactive approach and strong understanding of child development
- Good communication with both children and adults
