Long Term Futures is hiring for an EYFS teaching assistant within the Oakwood area of Derby. This will involve working with, and having experience within, the EYFS sector and framework so a wide understanding and passion is imperative.
This role is ideal for someone with experience working in the younger year groups and nursery experience.
About the RoleYour responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:
- Notetaking throughout the day and managing paperwork
- Lead engaging activities for the children
- Monitor children's progress and report any changes
- Build strong, positive relationships with the children, and parents and/or caregivers.
- Creating a safe and positive environment for the children to thrive
- Upholding safeguarding and health and safety procedures
- Positive, upbeat character who is willing to learn and get stuck in!
- Able to commit to a long-term position (one academic year and beyond)
- Experience working with EYFS frameworks
- Comfortable with personal care and toileting needs
- Child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
- Long-term placements only in one school, making you feel part of the team
