Long Term Futures is seeking a resilient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support for pupils with ASD in a primary school in the Lambeth area. The role will primarily be 1:1 focused but can also be group-based work.
This position is ideal for someone with experience supporting students with ASD or other SEMH and SEND needs, who can provide structure, consistency and a calm presence in the classroom. You will be able to build rapport with the child and be their go-to in the school day.
About the Role:- Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD and other additional needs.
- Providing consistent guidance to help the pupil stay focused and engaged.
- Providing 1:1 support.
- Working in hubs where provisions are in place for supporting students with ASD.
- Supporting learning during lessons across the curriculum.
- Ensuring the pupil doesn't get distracted during class and focuses on the task at hand.
