The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join an amazing specialist school in the Brent area. The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), SEMH, and communication difficulties, within a structured and nurturing environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver personalised education that supports both academic progress and emotional development.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
- Support students with Autism, SEMH, and additional learning needs
- Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and leadership
- Monitor and track pupil progress, adapting strategies where needed
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and families
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with SEN pupils, ideally in a specialist setting
- Strong understanding of Autism, SEMH, and differentiated teaching approaches
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
