Are you an experienced and compassionate teacher with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? Long Term Futures are proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive one-form entry mainstream primary school in Bartley Green, Birmingham. We are seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join their supportive team, working with pupils across the primary age range who require additional support to access learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 with a range of additional needs.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs, including SEMH, ASD, SLCN, cognition & learning difficulties, and behavioural needs.
- Implement effective and consistent behaviour management strategies.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, Senior Leadership Team, parents/carers, and external agencies.
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and SEN support planning.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that enables every child to thrive.
What the School is Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with ECT induction completed.
- Experience teaching across the primary curriculum.
- Strong understanding of adapting teaching and provision for pupils with SEN.
- Excellent classroom management skills and emotional resilience.
- TeamTeach, MAPA, or trauma-informed training would be advantageous.
- Flexible, proactive, and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
