The Opportunity: Long Term Futures is supporting a secondary school in Birmingham that is seeking a Food Technology Teacher to join their department as soon as possible. The role has become available following the retirement of the previous post-holder, and the school is keen to appoint someone promptly to provide continuity for pupils. You will be joining a small, supportive department, stepping into a well-established curriculum with clear expectations and strong support in place.

The Role:

  • Teaching KS3 Food Technology only
  • 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday)
  • Approximately 11-12 lessons per week
  • Lessons are 1 hour 15 minutes in duration
  • Deliver both practical and theory-based lessons
  • Work within a department of two Food Technology teachers

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
  • Confidence managing practical lessons and classroom routines
  • Ability to start as soon as possible
