Behaviour Mentor
Location: Brierley Hill, Dudley DY5

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

We\’re looking for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in Years 5 and 6 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is a rewarding, full-time role based in a warm and welcoming primary school, where you\’ll make a real difference to children needing extra support with regulation and routine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils in Year 5 and Year 6
  • Support with daily regulation, transitions, and emotional check-ins
  • Reinforce restorative routines and positive behaviour strategies
  • Deliver structured SEMH interventions (Zones of Regulation, Nurture groups, etc.)
  • Liaise closely with the SENDCo, class teachers, and pastoral staff
  • Help pupils re-engage positively with learning and school life

We Are Looking For

  • Experience supporting SEMH or behaviour needs in KS2 is essential
  • Knowledge of strategies such as restorative practice, de-escalation, and Zones of Regulation
  • Calm, consistency, and able to build trust with challenging pupils
  • Backgrounds in youth work, PRUs, SEMH settings, or similar are highly valued
