Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential? Do you have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our OFSTED Outstanding Additional Learning Support Department. As an LSA, you will provide one-to-one and small group support to students in lessons. The students you support will have EHCPs with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties, Visual Impairment (VI) and Hearing Impairment (HI).

You will work to foster independence, confidence, and academic progress for our students and facilitate social interaction through running a range of clubs.

The ideal person will have experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary or secondary school setting, or a strong interest in pursuing a career in education. They will have a good understanding of SEND and inclusive education practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young people.

Long Road Sixth Form College is situated close to the centre of Cambridge and on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Long Road is rated OFSTED good with outstanding High Needs. We have over 2,600 16-19 year old full-time students. Our core objective is to inspire, motivate and support our students in becoming the best that they can be.

This is a term time only role, working 37 hours per week, and is fixed term until December 2027.
