Required from August 2025. Long Road is a thriving, successful post 16 Sixth Form College with 2,600 students on roll across a variety of studies. Conveniently located close to the M11 and A14, within easy reach of several areas of outstanding natural beauty and the Norfolk Suffolk coast, the college is set next to the Biomedical Campus in its own attractive grounds in the beautiful, thriving and expanding Bio/Technical city of Cambridge. Long Road was judged by OFSTED to be Good in all five categories, and we are now taking the next steps to become an Outstanding College.

As an IT Services Technician, you will act as a friendly first point of contact for both students and staff. As part of a customer-focused and service-orientated team, you will be assisting in the configuration, implementation, operation and maintenance of the College's IT Hardware, Software and Networks. Our friendly, diligent IT Services department provides practical technical assistance to both our Students and Staff, ensuring that all the College's technical requirements are fully met.
Are you an enthusiastic and committed person with a keen interest in IT? If so, this role might be ideal for you! We require that candidates for this role be flexible, have good troubleshooting skills and be willing to assist in a number of areas including support, development, customer service and some project work.
Commencing the start of August 2025, this role will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, operation and maintenance of the College's computer equipment and networks, as well as providing cross-college technical, hardware and software support for equipment and facilities in order to ensure an excellent service to students and staff. This includes supporting desktop and laptop users working in both Windows and Apple Mac environments, Printing, Audio Visual, BYOD & telephones.
