£26,343 - £28,634 FTE | £22,999 actual salary for term time only

Long Road is a thriving, successful post-16 Sixth Form College with 2,600 students on roll across a variety of studies. Conveniently located close to the M11 and A14, within easy reach of several areas of outstanding natural beauty and the Norfolk and Suffolk coast, the college is set next to the Biomedical Campus in its own attractive grounds in the beautiful and expanding city of Cambridge. Long Road was judged by OFSTED to be Good or Outstanding in all five categories at its most recent inspection in February 2025.

In this role, you will provide a technical service to staff and students in the Visual and Performing Arts department, with specific responsibilities to Design & Technology in order to provide and maintain a high-quality offer to Students. Previous experience of working within a Workshop is essential, as you will be demonstrating the use of workshop machinery, tools and computing techniques and processes to Staff and Students, as well as being responsible for the maintenance of equipment and stock.

Previous knowledge of COSHH & CLEAPPS legislation is required, as well as a willingness to undertake First Aider training. The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to working hours, including working weekly twilight hours, and good team working and communication skills.
