Our client is a $16bn global multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund with a track record spanning over 20 years. They are looking for an Investment Analyst to join the only Financials Team at the fund.
Responsibilities
- In-Depth Research: Conduct rigorous fundamental analysis on publicly traded consumer companies, evaluating financial statements, market trends, and competitive positioning.
- Asset Valuation: Develop comprehensive valuation models to assess the intrinsic value of industrial stocks, utilizing various valuation methodologies, including DCF, comparable analysis, and NAV.
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with macroeconomic trends, interest rates, and industry developments that could impact industrial stocks, providing insights to the investment team.
- Idea Generation: Identify compelling investment opportunities within the financials sector, producing well-reasoned and data-driven investment theses.
Qualifications
- 2-6 years of work experience in equity research, investment banking or at a hedge fund
- Financials experience is a must
- Proficient in corporate level modelling
- Excellent academic credentials, Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably within a finance, economics or mathematics discipline
- Experience in conducting research and due diligence, and producing “client ready” investment materials
- Strong quantitative aptitude with a high attention to detail
