We are today supporting many major complex projects and programmes with our skills in commercial and contracts, design and engineering, project delivery and health, safety and environmental services.
Long O Donnell are currently looking for an experienced Civil Engineer with water experience on the design side to work within a team providing reactive and small services for a large and complex water and wastewater network.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage the provision of a wide variety of design and engineering services.
- Report on the works to the Principal Engineer, Technical Manager and in house building and construction team.
- Take responsibility for the management of the reactive and small services team including conformance and compliance, including health and safety practices.
- Oversee the provision of emergency engineering assistance.
- Oversee construction support.
- Maintain and foster positive client relationships.
- Promote cohesive and constructive behaviour within the team.
- Experience within the water industry (REQUIRED).
- Design side experience (REQUIRED).
- A relevant third level qualification e.g. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Solid experience and knowledge of the planning, specification, design, procurement and commissioning of projects.
- Experience of a broad range of aspects of wastewater projects, including design of wastewater projects and its infrastructure.
- Experience in MEICA design support or clean and wastewater modelling (Desirable).
- Proven ability to manage and provide services with challenging timescales.
