Long O Donnell Associates is continually recognised as a world class consultant providing engineering, project and programme management and commercial solutions to our clients within the energy, infrastructure, and Governmental sectors.

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to start immediately within our Commercial Team based within the gas networks sector. The successful applicant will form part of a close-knit, dynamic team and will support the business in maximising commercial value, reducing risk and delivering key outputs and targets.

The Quantity Surveyor role is responsible for a portfolio of projects, providing pre- and post-contract commercial management across the project lifecycle, as outlined in the Key Responsibilities section below. The Quantity Surveyor role will be full time and will involve a mixture of home and office working as well as site specific working as needed. Any required office working shall be from our offices at Thorpe Park, Leeds. Projects are delivered predominantly under NEC4 Option A and Option E, with a smaller number delivered under JCT.

We are looking for someone who is proactive in contract administration, commercially astute, and able to present commercial challenge using facts and data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also important to us.

Key Duties:

  • Cost estimation of projects.
  • Preparation of internal commercial reporting.
