Long Clawson Dairy (Clawson Farms) is based in Long Clawson (LE14 4PJ). The salary is £18.53 per hour with great benefits. The working hours are 36.65 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 1700 to 0100.

We are now seeking a Team Leader in our Packing Hygiene team, to join the Clawson family situated in the picturesque village of Long Clawson, just 6 miles from Melton Mowbray.

What you’ll do:

  • You will be responsible for the team management of your area, ensuring line leaders, colleagues and activities within the department are managed effectively and efficiently.
  • You will ensure the team meets all its shift targets set.
  • Encourage teamwork and develop new improved ways of working within your team.
  • Work closely with the departmental management team to make improvements and promote the Hygiene Department within the company.
  • Strive to improve productivity and cost reduction through control of waste and losses.
  • Conduct daily team briefings and develop your line leaders for career progression.
  • Coordinate Hygiene staff and ensure work is carried out to a high standard and in accordance with the Hygiene Instruction Card.
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures, Quality/Hygiene standards and Company Rules/Procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintain a robust system of handovers with the production team.
  • Assist with delivery of training for the team as required.
  • Liaise with the Engineering Department to sign off on hygiene standards.
  • Create and maintain daily KPI reports for delivery to the Hygiene manager and department heads.
  • Conduct daily auditing of machinery pre and post clean to ensure that the correct standards have been achieved.

What are we looking for?

  • Self-motivated with proven experience of motivating others.
  • Proven people management skills.
  • Adept at problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • A good level of numeracy & literacy is required for area reporting activities.
  • Intermediate IT skills including Excel, Word and email.
  • Industrious and able to prioritise tasks to deadlines.
  • Key eye for detail and experience of auditing.
  • Experience of using a Hygiene Management System.
  • Understanding of COSHH.
  • Experience of training staff.
  • Previous hygiene experience within the food industry.
