Long Clawson Dairy (Clawson Farms) is seeking a Team Leader in our Packing Hygiene team, situated in the picturesque village of Long Clawson. The role offers a salary of £18.53 per hour for 36.65 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 1700 to 0100.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the team effectively and ensure all activities within the department are carried out to the correct standard/specification and efficiencies.
- Ensure the team meets all its shift targets.
- Encourage teamwork and develop new improved ways of working within your team.
- Work closely with the departmental management team to promote the Hygiene Department.
- Strive to improve productivity and reduce costs through efficient control of waste and losses.
- Conduct daily team briefings and coach line leaders for career progression.
- Coordinate Hygiene staff to ensure work is carried out to a high standard.
- Complete cleaning schedule documentation and ensure adherence to Health & Safety procedures, Quality/Hygiene standards, and Company Rules/Procedures.
- Maintain a robust system of handovers with the production team.
- Assist with training delivery for the team as required.
- Liaise with the Engineering Department to sign off on hygiene standards.
- Create and maintain daily KPI reports for the Hygiene manager and department heads.
- Conduct daily audits of machinery pre and post clean.
What are we looking for?
- Self-motivated with proven experience of motivating others.
- Proven people management skills.
- Adept at problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Good level of numeracy & literacy for area reporting activities.
- Intermediate IT skills including Excel, Word, and email.
- Industrious and able to prioritise tasks to deadlines.
- Key eye for detail and experience of auditing.
- Experience of using a Hygiene Management System.
- Understanding of COSHH.
- Experience of training staff.
- Previous hygiene experience within the food industry.
