Long Bennington Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our dynamic, supportive, and progressive team working 4 to 6 sessions per week. Long Bennington Medical Centre is a well-established GP-led dispensing doctors practice located in the rural village of Long Bennington on the border of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire. We are situated in a purpose-built medical centre and proud to be part of a forward-thinking Primary Care Network with numerous supportive ARRs roles.

Generous 7 weeks annual leave (including CPD allocation) and NHS pension scheme. Structured clinics with 15-minute appointments and protected administration time. Face to face and telephone appointments. SystmOne clinical system and AccuRx triage system. Full team supportive induction. Dedicated daily GP clinical discussion time for support, knowledge sharing and case discussions over protected coffee time. Mentorship from a GP Partner. Practice team social events throughout the year. Dedicated protected training time. Regular working days Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week.
Main duties of the job:
- To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
- The post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship within our multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities:
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
- The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract.
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
- Effective management of long-term conditions.
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance.
- Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload.
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
- Understand the organisations and local safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Partake in meetings and case conferences regarding safeguarding matters when requested.
- Attend and/or complete regular training commensurate with their role in accordance with their individual terms of reference and practice policy.
- Implementing professional safeguarding responsibilities which includes continual professional development in safeguarding.
- Preventing, Identifying and Responding to abuse and neglect, including supporting victims and survivors of abuse.
- Have governance systems and processes in place to support safeguarding.
- Work collaboratively with other health colleagues, safeguarding partners and agencies.
- Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas).
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings.
- Contribute effectively to the development and maintenance of the practice including; clinical governance and training.
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process.
- Prepare and complete the revalidation process.

- Support the Partners and Practice Manager in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure.
- Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times.
- Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all the team and ARR's roles regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all times.
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Salaried GP may be requested to:
- Participate in practice audits and undertake at least one audit lead annually.
- Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care.
- Participate in the review of significant events and learning events applying a structured root cause analysis (RCA) approach.

Qualifications:
- Hold a Medical Degree.
- MRCGP General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT).
- Be GMC registered.
- Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP.
- Be registered under the primary medical performers list.
Experience:
- Experience of working in a primary care environment.
- Experience of continued professional development.
- Experience of QOF and clinical audits.
- Experience of medicines management.
- General understanding of the GMS contract.

£11,500 to £13,500 a session depending on experience.
