Salaried GP in Newark on Trent

Long Bennington Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our dynamic, supportive, and progressive team working 4 to 6 sessions per week. Long Bennington Medical Centre is a well-established GP-led dispensing doctors practice located in the rural village of Long Bennington on the border of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire. We are situated in a purpose-built medical centre and proud to be part of a forward-thinking Primary Care Network with numerous supportive ARRs roles.

Main duties of the job:

• To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
• The post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship within our multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities:

• The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
• The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract.
• Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.

• Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks.

In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Salaried GP may be requested to:

• Participate in practice audits and undertake at least one audit lead annually.

• Participate in the review of significant events and learning events applying a structured root cause analysis (RCA) approach.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Medical Degree.
• MRCGP General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT).
• Be GMC registered.
• Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP.
• Be registered under the primary medical performers list.

Experience:

• Experience of working in a primary care environment.
• Experience of continued professional development.
• Experience of QOF and clinical audits.
• Experience of medicines management.
• General understanding of the GMS contract.

£11,500 to £13,500 a session depending on experience.
