**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our team and provide support to orthodontists in a dental care setting. The Orthodontic Assistant will assist with patient care, including preparing patients for procedures, taking X-rays, and maintaining patient records.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready.
2. Assist orthodontists with patient care during procedures.
3. Take and develop X-rays as needed.
4. Educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices and provide post-procedure care instructions.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary.
6. Sterilize and maintain dental equipment and instruments.
7. Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow within the practice.
8. Assist with lab duties including pouring molds and fabricating appliances.
**Qualifications:**
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Completion of an accredited Orthodontic Assistant program preferred.
3. X-ray certification.
