The Nelson Medical Practice is a dynamic, forward thinking and friendly practice and we have an exciting opportunity for a 6 session salaried GP to join our team for a period of 6 months on a fixed term contract covering Maternity leave from mid July 2026.
Working the following job plan:
- Monday – 2 sessions
- Tuesday – 2 sessions (this will be later start time as 8pm finish covering extended access)
- Friday – 2 sessions
We operate from a large modern purpose built building, based in Wimbledon with onsite imaging and phlebotomy. We have an experienced and stable clinical workforce with a keen focus on high quality patient care. You would work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and you will support and care for a diverse patient group. As a large practice on a single site, we have a strong emphasis on our team, for example ‘on calls’ are always managed by a team of GPs and allied health professionals so you are always well supported.
We are a supportive teaching practice with a heavy emphasis on the development of all clinicians. Because we are an innovative and forward thinking practice there are always opportunities to get involved in projects and develop leadership skills.
The Practice offers dedicated in house clinics for diabetes, minor surgery, family planning, postnatal and baby checks, and we welcome individuals with innovative ideas and the drive to continuously develop new services.
Whether you are a newly qualified GP or a more experienced GP looking to develop a specialist clinical interest you will be welcome in our friendly diverse team.
