About the Role & Team
As a key member of the Commercial South team and reporting into the Commercial Manager, your primary responsibility will be commercial lead on a project located in Bermondsey called Biscuit Factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing tenders and detailed scopes of works for project.
- Procurement of all contractor trade packages.
- Managing contractor accounts to include raising contractor payments, reviewing and assessing variation claims and preparing and settling final accounts.
- Reviewing drawing changes.
- Reviewing and approving Site Instructions & CCF’s where appropriate.
- Producing valuation reports to advise of any cost movements and reporting to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.
- Implementation of commercial function in line with the Commercial Policies & Procedures Manual.
- Attend design team meetings.
- Carry out detailed package review meetings & drive value engineering opportunities of design & scope information.
- Prepare all contract documentation and ensure accuracy.
- Financial accountability for the project budget.
- Partnership & co-operation with the Project Team for operational and financial delivery.
- Management of and delegation of work to Junior Members of Site Commercial Team where applicable.
- Key Skills & Experience
- Capable of working independently with minimum supervision and as part of the wider project team.
- Excellent communication skills to be able to communicate daily with the relevant members of the Technical, Sales, Construction, Buying and Finance teams.
