By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.

About the role

We\’re looking for a Warehouse Assistant to help keep our stores running smoothly and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you\’ll support teams across the business by managing stock, maintaining the warehouse, and working closely with suppliers to ensure we always have the materials we need – on time and to the right quality. It\’s a key part of keeping our operations moving and making a positive impact on the business every day.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily warehouse tasks to support smooth departmental operations.
  • Provide efficient service to internal teams and suppliers, including goods issuing for staff and contractors.
  • Receive, check, and receipt deliveries, reporting any discrepancies and updating systems (e.g., Microsoft D365).
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment at all times.
  • Assist with purchasing activities and stock control as required.
  • Support stocktakes and inventory accuracy when scheduled.
  • Load and unload vehicles safely using manual or mechanical methods (e.g., forklift, crane), and carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Experience in stock control, and operation of stores receipt and issue methods.
  • Previous experience within a warehouse environment using both goods receipting and goods issuing methods is preferred but not essential.
  • Driving license for forklift truck preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of plant spares is preferred but not essential.
  • Willing to accept any training given.
  • Prepared to work weekends as part of the warehouse rota and cover shifts when required by your manager.
