LondonEnergy operates the second largest waste contract in the UK, handling and processing nearly 750,000 tonnes of London’s waste every year. We have a dedicated team of people working across our various North London sites, making a positive difference to the environment and the local community. By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste from energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.

We are currently looking for a Multi-Skilled ReUse Network Team Member to join the team at our Kings Road Reuse & Recycling Centre Shop. The Multi-Skilled ReUse Network Team Member is a key part of our ReUse operations, supporting both ReUse shops and ReUse & Recycling Centres (RRCs). This is a hands‑on, varied role working across multiple sites, with responsibilities spanning safety compliance, customer service, visual merchandising, stock movement, and the preparation of goods for in‑store and online sales. This role suits someone who is adaptable, enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, and is passionate about reUse, waste reduction, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out safety and compliance checks, including PAT testing, secure load management, and adherence to organisational health & safety procedures.
  • Identify, report, and promote safe practices using the D365 reporting tool, maintaining high housekeeping standards across sites.
  • Provide guidance and training to RRC teams on items suitable for reUse and required pre‑checks.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in shops and at RRCs, promoting the environmental and social benefits of reUse.
  • Transport, move, and handle reUse stock safely across the network, including shops, RRCs, pop‑up locations, and online sales preparation.
  • Support retail operations through sorting, pricing, merchandising, display changes, themed promotions, and upcycling projects.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple sites, adapting to changing priorities and providing cover to support smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Qualifications

  • Valid UK category B driving license.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices, including safe handling, lifting, and transporting goods.
  • Ability to move, handle and transport larger items safely.
  • Confident communication skills to provide guidance and information to RRC teams.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide friendly, informative guidance.
  • Experience with manual handling and transportation of goods, including experience in driving larger vehicles.
  • PAT testing experience and/or basic electrical repairs experience (desirable).
  • A genuine interest in ReUse, upcycling, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
