LondonEnergy operates the second largest waste contract in the UK, handling and processing nearly 750,000 tonnes of London's waste every year. By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste from energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the diagnosis and resolution of mechanical plant and process issues, coordinating labour, materials and resources to deliver safe and effective maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Plan, manage and deliver preventative and corrective maintenance in line with statutory legislation, manufacturer guidelines and the PPM system, ensuring all inspections, testing and records are compliant and up to date.
  • Prepare, review and enforce RAMS, permits and safe systems of work, actively promoting a zero‑accident culture and ensuring full compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
  • Provide hands‑on technical leadership and out‑of‑hours support when required, ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of mechanical plant.
  • Lead, supervise and coordinate mechanical teams, apprentices and specialist mechanical/civil contractors, including workshop and warehouse oversight, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and performance.
  • Support OPEX and CAPEX works, asset management and continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with engineering, projects, EC health.
