About the role:

LondonEnergy are looking for one Class 2 Driver - General Maintenance Operative. The role is based in Edmonton, North London. As the General Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the plant, as well as buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe environment for all users of the plant. Your Class 2 license will allow you to operate our vehicles. As long as you have your Class 2 license, we can train you on the Gully Sucker and Road Sweeper.

Responsibilities:

  • General labouring duties including cleaning our site, utilising sweeping, hosing, shovelling and cleaning including using a range of mechanical equipment and operating small mobile plant and forklift trucks, site clearances and general upkeep.
  • Carrying out loading and unloading as required, using appropriate equipment as necessary.
  • Undertaking decorating tasks as required, e.g. painting & minor repairs, installing safety equipment and helping assemble furniture.
  • Carrying out portering duties as directed, including portage of dangerous substances.
  • Undertaking any other appropriate work as directed.
  • Completing appropriate documentation relating to planned maintenance.
  • Driving our Class 2 vehicles around site.

Qualifications:

  • Experience labouring & working outdoors.
  • Experience in handyman work, using hardware tools and electrical equipment.
  • A basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems.
  • Ability to communicate in a work environment within a team.
  • Experience of Labouring in either an industrial or building and civil engineering environment.
  • A full driving licence and Class 2 license is essential.
  • You must be available to work on a rotating shift pattern, full day time hours between the days of Monday - Sunday.
