London Bike Studio is an independent bike shop and workshop in Stoke Newington, North London. What started as a small garage workshop has grown into a busy cycling hub serving commuters, everyday riders, and enthusiasts. We have an excellent reputation for outstanding customer service, a great workshop, and the best dog in town.
We’re looking for a Sales Assistant to join the team and help create a welcoming, organised and professional experience for everyone who walks into the shop. This is a front-of-house role, focused on customer service, retail sales and supporting the day-to-day running of the shop floor. You’ll work closely with the Retail Manager and workshop team to make sure customers receive great service from the moment they arrive.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, can close sales, has an interest in bikes, and takes pride in keeping a shop environment organised and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and acknowledge all customers entering the shop
- Answer customer queries in person, by phone and email
- Give customers expert and honest advice on bikes, parts and accessories
- Provide attentive, knowledgeable service to maximise sales and customer satisfaction
- Process retail transactions including cycle schemes, special orders and service payments
- Assist with receiving and handing back bikes for workshop services when needed
- Direct workshop customers to the appropriate service desk when required
- Help maintain a clean, organised and welcoming retail space
- Restock products and maintain displays
- Receive and organise stock deliveries
- Report stock discrepancies to the Retail Manager
- Support the Retail Manager with day-to-day shop operations
- Help keep the retail area clear and organised when workshop activity is busy
- Friendly and confident with customers
