London's leading Construction Consultant is seeking an exceptional Director level Project Manager to support the lead on one of London's most prestigious luxury mixed-use developments. The scheme is complex, design-led, and high profile. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role as the number two in the project team, working closely with stakeholders, design teams, contractors, and consultants to drive delivery and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Act as second-in-command to the Lead Project Management Partner, supporting delivery across all phases.
- Interface with the client, senior stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead day-to-day project management duties including programme management, risk mitigation, cost awareness, and procurement strategy.
- Oversee detailed design coordination and ensure design integrity is maintained throughout.
- Engage with contractor and supply chain partners; monitor site activity and ensure project milestones are met.
- Provide strategic input on procurement routes and advise on the best-fit strategies based on project needs.
- Monitor construction progress, reporting against KPIs, budgets, and timelines.
- Ensure that project governance, health & safety, and compliance procedures are adhered to.
- Proven project management experience in complex, high-value residential or mixed-use developments.
- Consultancy-led background preferred, though strong candidates from contractors or developers will also be considered.
- Comfortable operating in a client-facing environment, with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Skilled in managing procurement routes including two-stage D&B, construction management, and traditional forms.
- Experience with high-end design detailing and working alongside leading architects and interior designers.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and drive a collaborative project culture.
- Degree in Construction, Project Management, or related field.
- Chartered status (RICS, MAPM, CIOB, or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of building design and construction methodologies.
