About the role
Help secure the future of Woodrow High House, London Youth’s residential centre. This permanent role is 22.5 hours a week, with hybrid working in Amersham. Actual salary is £26,097 a year (£43,495 full-time equivalent).
You will be responsible for a fundraising target of around £250,000, working with the central fundraising team and Woodrow colleagues to fund the centre’s upkeep and development.
Your responsibilities
- Develop a prospect pipeline covering trusts, foundations, individual donors, businesses and community groups.
- Prepare funding applications, corporate proposals and persuasive cases for support that reflect the centre’s plans.
- Steward current funders, develop new relationships and manage grant-maker and corporate partnerships.
- Represent Woodrow in pitches and visits, and welcome prospective supporters to the centre.
- Organise cultivation events and develop local corporate volunteering opportunities, working with the corporate partnerships team on CSR days.
- Explore digital giving, crowdfunding and challenge-event income.
- Report to funders and track progress against income targets.
About you
You will bring fundraising experience and a track record of achieving annual targets of approximately £250,000 or more. The role calls for strong proposal writing, donor stewardship, event organisation and relationship-building skills. You should be able to prioritise a varied workload, work with colleagues across teams, negotiate confidently and analyse information carefully. Commitment to young people and inclusive working is essential.
