We are looking for an experienced and motivated Fertility Nurse to join our dynamic team at London Women’s Clinic Bromley. This role is ideal for a healthcare professional who is passionate about providing exceptional patient-centred care and who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative fertility environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with consultants, embryologists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality fertility treatment. Candidates with scanning and prescribing experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and take medical histories.
- Perform transvaginal and abdominal ultrasound scans to support treatment cycles.
- Obtain blood samples and complete hormone testing.
- Administer fertility medications and monitor patient response to treatment.
- Independently or supplementary prescribe fertility drugs (where qualified).
- Teach patients how to self-administer injectable fertility medications.
- Support and assist with IVF, ICSI, and IUI procedures.
- Coordinate semen sample collection, handling, and documentation.
- Provide empathetic counselling, reassurance, and emotional support throughout treatment.
- Educate patients on treatment pathways, medication protocols, and lifestyle advice.
- Obtain informed consent for procedures and medication plans.
- Provide early pregnancy support and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with regulatory and clinic standards.
- Use ultrasound systems and clinic software confidently and efficiently.
- Collect and report data for audits, KPIs, and quality assurance measures.
- Ensure full adherence to HFEA, CQC, and internal regulatory requirements.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and ethical practice.
- Collaborate closely with consultants, embryologists, and the administrative team to ensure seamless patient pathways.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical discussions.
- Maintain ongoing CPD and stay up to date with current fertility nursing guidelines.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior nursing staff.
- Lead patient education sessions and group teaching.
- Participate in clinical audits, policy development, and service improvement initiatives.
- Registered Nurse (NMC).
- Experience in fertility nursing or women’s health.
- Ultrasound scanning and/or prescribing qualifications (desirable).
- Excellent communication, empathy, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy clinical environment with attention to detail.
