About London Women’s Clinic is a leading private fertility clinic delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a patient-centred environment. We are seeking a Senior Andrologist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team.
The role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Andrologist primarily based at our Brighton clinic. The role will initially focus on diagnostic semen analysis, with the opportunity to support the future expansion of treatment andrology services. The successful candidate will work independently to maintain laboratory standards, ensure regulatory compliance and support high-quality patient care. Occasional support to Canterbury and Tunbridge Wells clinics may be required.
Key responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic semen analysis in line with WHO guidelines
- Maintaining laboratory quality control and documentation
- Ensure compliance with HFEA regulations and SOPs, maintain laboratory organisation and stock, support equipment servicing, provide patient interaction, and assist with treatment andrology services.
- Support the future development of treatment andrology services, including sperm preparation techniques where required.
About you
Able to work independently and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the andrology laboratory. Strong organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a professional, patient-focused approach are essential.
Essential:
- Experience performing semen analysis with knowledge of WHO guidelines
- Understanding of HFEA regulations.
- Experience maintaining laboratory quality control systems is required, with previous experience in a fertility or andrology laboratory desirable.
- HCPC registered Scientist (or eligible) with a relevant degree in Biomedical Science or a related field.
- Experience in semen analysis or andrology laboratory work is required.
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK; a UK driving licence is desirable.
Desirable:
- Experience in sperm preparation techniques for fertility treatments (e.g. density gradient, swim-up).
- Previous experience working in a fertility clinic or reproductive medicine laboratory.
- Experience supporting laboratory inspections or accreditation processes.
- Driving licence due to occasional travel between clinics.
