Digital Marketing Lead

Salary: £35,520

Contract: Full time, permanent.

Location: Head office (Fivefields, 8-10 Grosvenor Gardens, London) and travel to our key reserves typically 2 days per week, the remaining from home.

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm. We welcome flexible working requests from day one.

Role & Responsibilities

As our new Digital Marketing Lead, you'll manage and optimise our digital marketing activity across paid media, website, SEO, email, and campaigns, helping more people discover, understand, and support London Wildlife Trust. Working across the digital supporter journey, you'll use audience insights, data, and testing to grow our reach, strengthen engagement, and increase conversion across fundraising, events, and commercial opportunities.

You'll work closely with colleagues in the Marketing and Comms Team, across the Trust, and external consultants to deliver effective digital campaigns, improve digital journeys, and ensure our channels and platforms work together to deliver measurable results.

  • Create and deliver our digital marketing approach, maximizing reach, sign-ups, conversion, and income from fundraising, commercial activity, and public engagement events, using an insight-led approach grounded in a strong understanding of our audience
  • Manage all paid digital advertising, including Meta, PPC, Google Grants, and display advertising. Develop, create, monitor, and optimise campaigns and advertising activity to maximise reach, engagement, conversion, and return on investment.
  • Lead on SEO, including emerging AI search/answer engine visibility, to grow organic reach and improve website performance, ensuring the Trust's content is discoverable and effectively represented online.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to help build a strong supporter journey from awareness engagement conversion support.
  • Provide digital marketing insight and recommendations to inform campaigns and appeals, and research and test emerging digital marketing platforms, technologies, and techniques, including relevant developments in AI, identifying opportunities to improve digital performance.

Our ideal Digital Marketing Lead

  • Demonstrable experience planning, managing and optimising paid digital advertising campaigns to a strong level of engagement and conversion, with a good understanding of budget management and ROI
  • Solid working knowledge of SEO principles and practice, including how to improve organic visibility and awareness of emerging areas such as AI search/answer engines
  • Hands‑on experience running email marketing campaigns via a platform such as Mailchimp, including audience segmentation, automation, tracking and performance optimisation
  • Confident using digital analytics tools to monitor, interpret and report on campaign and website performance, and to turn data into clear recommendations
  • Experience using CRM or supporter-journey platforms such as ThankQ, Eventbrite, Team Kinetic or Typeform
