Our EMEA Media Relations team, based in London, is dedicated to driving media engagement across the region. Working within a small in-house team and alongside retained agencies and the broader Corporate Affairs team, you will engage with various divisions including Macquarie Asset Management, Macquarie Capital, and Commodities and Global Markets.

As a Manager in the media relations team, within our Macquarie Corporate Affairs function, you will take ownership of projects, announcements, and campaigns in support of business priorities. You will act as a key point of contact for senior business stakeholders, providing advice on communications strategies and handling media issues. You will field and respond to media enquiries and work against tight deadlines.

This is a hybrid working role which requires at least 3 days a week in our London office location.

What you offer:

  • 5-8 years of experience working in media relations and external communications, ideally with some experience within financial communications
  • A track record of delivering strong media coverage results and building media relationships
  • Proven ability to work alongside senior executives and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of key issues impacting the current news agenda
  • A collaborative work style as part of a busy team, with the ability to also work autonomously on key tasks
  • Experience working in a multinational environment and across European markets
  • Foreign language skills would be considered a plus, but this is not an essential requirement
