We are partnered with a European HQ Asset Management firm to support in hiring for a brand new role within Communications. We are looking for an experienced Media Relations professional who can promote and protect our client's brand across Europe as well as play a key role in managing external communication, corporate storytelling and press relations.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the head of communication with corporate comms projects, including advising the business on communication approach, developing communications plans, drafting announcements, reactive statements and Q&As, managing dissemination and supporting internal and client comms.
- Development of annual media relations plan designed to enhance the brand, improve the profile of key spokespeople and manage any reputational issues.
- Managing media relations agencies across Europe.
- Handling in-bound press requests in a timely manner, including offering an advisory service to the business on how best to respond.
- Developing compelling pitches to support sales and marketing priorities.
- Lead development of the earned-media content strategy, with a focus on news-cycle-driven content consistent with marketing and sales priorities.
- Work with spokespeople, product and marketing teams to produce high-quality engaging content for media that can also be used with clients.
- Contribute to the development of key spokespeople’s social media strategy, with a particular focus on content created for social media.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience in journalism / media relations in the Asset Management Industry.
- Excellent writing skills and history writing content for tier-one media outlets.
