The Institutional Client Group (ICG) leads the global strategy for PGIM's institutional client engagement, capital raising and business development across key markets and asset classes. The team partners closely with investment, marketing and product teams to deliver solutions for clients and consultants while building longâterm relationships with pensions, endowments, corporations, unions, sovereign wealth funds and family offices worldwide.
The PGIM Portfolio Specialist team within ICG represents PGIM's strategies to current and prospective investors. In this role, you will drive commercial strategy, capital formation and client engagement for the growing secondaries platform. You will collaborate with Montana Capital Partners (MCP) and report to the head of the Portfolio Specialist team.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop and deliver messaging of PGIM's private equity and private credit secondaries platform to institutional and wealth investors in partnership with the business development team.
- Act as the subjectâmatter expert in private market secondaries and convincingly communicate capabilities, competitive advantages and market views in person and virtually through pitches, roadshows, conferences, webinars, educational presentations and publications.
- Maintain a deep investor network in Western Europe and leverage knowledge of fund structures and investor demand in investment and product development processes.
- Proactively provide market and investment expertise to the distribution team, supporting initial outreach and positioning of secondaries offerings through:
- Leading development of marketing content
- Supporting marketing campaigns
- Initiating and writing thought pieces and market outlooks
- Delivering timely views on market events
- Leading internal educational meetings for clientâfacing teams
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant private market experience, preferably at a large established manager or in a specialist, business development, investment or portfolio management capacity. Candidates from sellâside, advisory or placement agent organizations will also be considered.
- Strong private markets/secondaries investor network, particularly within Western Europe.
- Deep market knowledge of private equity and private credit secondaries.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex strategies to sophisticated as well as more handsâoff allocators.
- Proactive selfâstarter with an entrepreneurial mindset, ability to adapt, and a positive attitude.
- High level of organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work according to business needs.
- Ability to forge trusting relationships both externally and internally.
Travel within Europe and internationally is required, with an expected 20â40% travel commitment.
