Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Cluster Sales Executive with a strong focus on MICE and Group bookings to drive revenue across three leading hotels in the London Paddington area. You will play a critical role in identifying and converting high-value leads, nurturing key partnerships, and maximising group and event-related business opportunities. This position is instrumental in increasing market share and supporting the strategic sales growth of our hotel group.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to grow revenue specifically for the MICE and Group segments.
- Proactively generate new business leads and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through proactive outreach, networking, and follow-up.
- Manage and expand relationships with key accounts, event organisers, travel agents and corporate clients.
- Conduct hotel site visits and presentations to promote meeting and group facilities.
- Collaborate with IHG and Accor central MICE and group sales teams to align on pipeline opportunities and maximise brand support.
- Handle group RFPs, negotiate rates and contracts, and manage group blocks and event logistics in collaboration with hotel operations.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction through tailored proposals, seamless coordination, and exceptional communication.
- Attend networking events and industry exhibitions to grow lead generation and brand visibility.
- Monitor local and international MICE market trends, competitor activity, and evolving client needs to inform strategy.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and sales activities using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Opera).
- Promote loyalty through IHG/Accor membership and event programs to drive repeat business.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Team to ensure smooth event execution and client retention.
- Prepare and present weekly performance updates, lead tracking reports, and market insights.
- Contribute to the wider sales and revenue strategy of the cluster with a strong commercial mindset.
What We're Looking For
- 2 years experience in hotel sales with a focus on MICE and Group business.
- Familiarity with IHG, Accor, or other major hotel groups is advantageous.
- Proven ability to generate and convert leads within competitive sales environments.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Organised, self-motivated, and results-oriented with attention to detail.
- Experience with Opera, Salesforce, Cvent, ANAIS, Venue Directory and Meeting Broker.
