Islington Council intends to procure a single supplier for an agreement to enable delivery of the demolition of an existing cricket pavilion, and the construction of a replacement building in the same location. The new one‑storey building will provide sporting infrastructure to support sport play in the park, a community space for wider public benefit, and an office for Park Services. In addition, there will be some landscaping and general wider park improvements. Planning permission was granted in August 2024. (P2024/0369/FUL)

Scope of Work

  • Demolition of the existing cricket pavilion.
  • Construction of a new one‑storey building to serve as sporting infrastructure, community space, and office for Park Services.
  • Landscaping and general park improvements.

Eligibility

The supplier must be registered on the London Tenders Portal (LTP).

Contract Information

Term: 9 months, estimated start around July 2026. Contract type: JCT Intermediate with Contractor’s Design. Estimated budget: £1.2m – £1.4m excl. VAT for the maximum period of the contract.

Award Criteria

One provider who submits the Most Advantageous Tender (MAT) will be awarded the contract. The award criteria are: 50% price, 20% social value, 20% programme and delivery, 5% quality control, 5% health and safety (total 100%).

Expression of Interest

Deadline: 16.59am on 17 April 2026. All organisations who successfully express interest will be invited to tender.
