Islington Council is interested in hearing from organisations with a proven track record of providing confidential advice, support and therapeutic counselling to adults affected by adoption. This includes adopted adults, birth parents and close birth relatives, and prospective and current adopters.
This is a market test. It is not a formal invitation to tender.
Minimum requirements and scopeThe service needs to be responsive to demand, with a telephone contact line for service users to self-refer and to seek in-the-moment support and advice; to offer at least 300 flexible therapeutic sessions over the year; to facilitate support groups for service users (at least one monthly support group for birth parents – but for scope to increase this if there is the demand) and to be able to offer flexibility to the commissioning agency to increase or decrease the level of service each year. The provider must have proven knowledge and involvement in the area of adoption support services.
Estimated contract value£65,000 - £70,000 annually; potentially a 5 – 7 year contract.
