The Role: As a Junior Events and Marketing Assistant, you will work closely with our Head of Events to deliver a diverse portfolio of over 10 events throughout the year. You will play a key role in bringing these events to life, quickly taking on important responsibilities that contribute to world-class delivery. Supported by our wider team, you will be empowered to work independently, take initiative, and make a real impact from day one.
What You’ll Do:
- Event Planning & Execution: Handle the admin and logistics that make events run seamlessly. Lead on community events & help to organise executive dinners. Source the best speakers, suppliers, and venues being a big part of curating amazing experiences. Bring fresh, innovative ideas to meetings and help push events to the next level. Maintain event calendars and deadlines like a pro. Collect feedback from attendees and clients to make each event better than the last. Become the lead event planner and take full responsibility for the delivery of events. Expected to liaise with sponsors/speakers/partners to make sure that all moving parts of the event are confirmed.
- Marketing & Promotion: Support the creation and execution of event marketing campaigns that get noticed. Coordinate the production of brochures, merchandise, and other eye-catching materials. Strategise ways to boost ticket sales and attention for London Tech Leaders events. Manage digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns and landing page updates. Keep our website fresh with upcoming events and exciting content. Takeover day to day running of the social channels including Linkedin. Support the Senior Marketing Lead with weekly tasks. Help to grow the more personal content across London Tech Leaders socials.
Who You Are:
- Ambitious, creative, and ready to learn.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related field.
- 0–2 years experience in marketing, events, or a related role.
- Super detail oriented & hyper-organised.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable in a super fast paced environment.
- Deadline-driven, proactive, and always thinking two steps ahead.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with project management tools; social media and email marketing tools are a bonus.
