Cover Supervisor – The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students across the school and ensuring they remain on task during lessons.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absences
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and ensuring students understand the tasks set
- Maintaining good classroom behaviour and applying the school’s behaviour policies
- Keeping students focused, engaged and working productively
- Supporting students with instructions and learning activities where appropriate
- Managing the classroom confidently and responding to any issues that arise
- Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and any behaviour concerns
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
- Supporting the wider school team when required
