Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a track record in PR/communications with experience of operating in a fast-paced environment, for a PR agency or in-house team.
  • Good media relations experience with a particular focus on financial and business media.
  • An interest in best practice use cases and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve processes.

What the job involves:

  • The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of our Group communications programme with a focus on media relations.
  • They will actively seek opportunities to promote the Group, its business divisions, products and services in the media, and build understanding of what we do.
  • The individual will also provide media relations advice to leaders across the business and have the ability to develop positive relationships.
  • They will act as a spokesperson for LSEG and also help coordinate PR activities such as drafting press releases, FAQs, key messages, by-lined articles and other written materials to a high standard.
  • They will collaborate with colleagues around the world to ensure media enquiries are handled efficiently and help manage any reactive issues.
  • The individual will have experience of working to short timeframes and be able to organise their workloads accordingly.
  • They will be encouraged to partner with others to develop innovative approaches and work together to deliver better outcomes.
  • They will have good relationships with journalists and the ability to adapt the message to meet the needs of different audiences.
  • They will be able to work closely and collaboratively with other teams within LSEG including Internal Communications, Government Relations and Regulatory Strategy, Marketing, Investor Relations, Legal and People teams to deliver a coordinated communications approach.
